We’re selling 20 shares of GE Vernova at roughly $694 each. Following Monday’s trade, Jim Cramer’s Charitable Trust will own 80 shares of GEV, decreasing its weighting to 1.45% from 1.8%. We’re trimming our position in GE Vernova to lock in big gains after the stock’s recent rally. Shares of this power equipment company surged 15.6% to a record-high close of $723 last Wednesday in response to a bullish Investor Day meeting. Management provided a strong order update and significantly increased its 2028 financial framework for revenue, margins, and free cash flow. GE Vernova stock was universally praised after the meeting, with several analysts upgrading their rating and JPMorgan increasing its price target to a new street high of $1,000. But like any parabolic move, the stock gave back some of its gains on Thursday and Friday. GEV YTD mountain GE Vernova YTD Shares started this week higher after receiving a buy recommendation from analysts at Evercore ISI. With the stock up more than 100% year to date and the AI trade on shaky ground, we’re using this strength to sell some after adding to our position once in October and November when the stock broke down to $600 and below. In addition to Monday’s trim, we are also downgrading GE Vernova to our hold-equivalent 2 rating and reiterating our $800 price target.
