Taynara Souza Santos, a 31-year-old Brazilian woman, suffered the amputation of both legs after being brutally run over and dragged for more than a kilometer by her ex-boyfriend in São Paulo on November 29, 2025.

The incident occurred when Taynara was leaving a bar in the northern part of São Paulo. Her ex-boyfriend, identified as Douglas Alves de Silva, saw her with another man and, in a jealous rage, rammed her with his car, a black Volkswagen Golf.

After the impact, she was trapped under the vehicle and dragged along an avenue as the assailant continued driving. Witnesses and security cameras captured the moment, allowing investigators to reconstruct the sequence of events.

The injuries she suffered were so severe that doctors confirmed the need to amputate both her legs to save her life. Taynara remains hospitalized in critical condition, while Douglas Alves has been arrested and faces charges of attempted femicide with extreme cruelty. The case has generated widespread outrage in Brazil and reignited the debate on gender-based violence in the country.

According to reports on the internet, a 54-second video captured by security cameras shows the moment the young woman is run over and dragged by a black van driven by her ex-boyfriend.

The clip, described as extremely graphic and uncensored, reportedly circulated on platforms such as Twitter and on Telegram channels known for spreading violent material, including Atrocidades 18 and Forogore.

Several users claim that the video was shared widely on these platforms, intensifying public outrage and the debate on gender-based violence in Brazil.

Although the content is graphic and not recommended for viewing, its dissemination has served as evidence of the attack and has increased social pressure for the aggressor to face serious charges for attempted femicide.
