The family is in town to visit the Myer Christmas windows and decided to also check out the new Town Hall station.

Hazel’s verdict is that the station is “amazing”. Charlie said his favourite part was “you normally can see the train coming, but there’s doors to protect you”.
Julian had initially told the kids they could ride each escalator twice, but after hearing how many escalators there were in the station, he revised this down to just one ride.
When the first train arrived at Town Hall, there was a countdown of “five, four, three, two, one” and a round of applause.
Passengers were tightly packed on the first train and not many got off, with most keen to continue the whole way around on the train’s first trip.
