A MEDIC showing symptoms of the deadly rat virus is being treated in a specialist hospital in London.
The healthcare worker and was taken to the High Consequence Infectious Diseases unit in Guy’s and St Thomas’s NHS Foundation Trust on Saturday.


It could be the first case of hantavirus in the UK since the outbreak began.
It comes as nine other Brits connected to the MV Hondius cruise ship outbreak are set to arrive in the UK.
The rest of the evacuees from St Helena and Ascension Island could have been exposed to hantavirus but do not have symptoms.
They are expected to arrive in the UK on Sunday evening, the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) said.
