Assistant Treasurer Daniel Mulino said this morning that tonight’s budget would be “very much in favour of young people”, the working class, and Australians trying to get into the housing market.
“I think people are going to judge this budget on what it actually achieves on a range of important fronts, including intergenerational fairness, productivity and the resilience of our economy and society,” he told Sky News earlier.
While “balances” had to be achieved in several policy areas, Mulino insisted it was a budget that would still benefit young people and workers.
“I think what you’ll see when you look at the totality of this budget, and it is very much in favour of young people, very much in favour of people who are trying to get into the housing market and people who are working,” he said, echoing the treasurer and the prime minister earlier.
