F1 2026, grid places, results, odds, stats and start time from the Red Bull Ring

Mercedes Driver George Russell snatched pole position during qualifying after Max Verstappen crashed out of Q3, trigging a yellow flag.

The Dutchman went into turn nine too hard and lost the rear of the Red Bull, flying across the gravel and smashing into the wall. Ferrari duo Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc had already finished their laps, however Russel was able to lift under the yellow and snatch pole.

It’s welcome news for the British driver who 50 points behind his teammate and championship leader Kimi Antonelli.

After his sensational maiden win with Ferrari in Barcelona, Hamilton has produced another strong performance and will start today’s race in third, with Leclerc in second.

Antonelli will start in fourth and Verstappen in fifth with the McLaren’s Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, in sixth and seventh.
