A man has been arrested on the NSW South Coast and charged with the murder of a woman allegedly kidnapped from Sydney’s north-west.
Officers from Parramatta Police Area Command began investigating on Tuesday after reports a 58-year-old woman had not returned home.
“Police were told family last had contact with the woman about 4.50pm on Monday 8 June 2026, when she advised she was meeting a relative in Winston Hills,” NSW Police said in a statement.
The woman’s vehicle was located on Dodson Street, Winston Hills about 9.30am on Tuesday.
About 1.40pm on Thursday, detectives investigating the woman’s disappearance under Strike Force Dizek arrested a 33-year-old man seated in a white Toyota Hilux in bushland along Parnell Fire Trail in Tomerong, about 20 kilometres south of Nowra and 200 kilometres from Winston Hills.
Police later searched a nearby address in Sanctuary Point.
The man was taken to Nowra police station and charged with murder. He has been refused police bail and is due to face bail court on Friday.
“The body of the woman has not yet been located,” police said. Investigations continue.
