Tonight Mitchell Moses, back from State of Origin duty, lines up for Parramatta in his 250th NRL game. The Eels halfback and captain is central to Jason Ryles’ plans to bring the club back to glory in the next few years – but he has a shocking record in his individual milestone games. He lost in his 50th, 100th, 150th and 200th NRL games, as well as his debut for the Tigers and his club debut for the Eels. Not a good omen for the men in blue and gold tonight.
Another bad omen: Parramatta’s recent record against Souths. The Rabbitohs have won nine of the past 10 clashes between these sides, and the Eels haven’t beaten the Bunnies at CommBank Stadium since 2019.
